Ode to a Lemon

Assigned to design a book in reaction to one of Pablo Neruda’s ‘Odes to’ I found Neruda connecting the cycle of life to the lemon. The concept of my book is based on the idea that life is a series of memories layered on transparent paper, and the reaction to a current experience cannot be separated from the reaction to a previous one. I designed a page for each line of his poem and as the reader progresses from slot to slot a line of the poem is added to the stack of papers.
